I can't believe the last time I did a blog post was my welcome 2023 post- I'm so behind! But here is to trying to start again and hopefully stay on top of it this time! be on the look out for more blog posts from me this year~ Last year was a busy year. I hosted 31 events myself and there were many many more from other hosts! Some of the highlights of 2023 include the several collaberations with Hello82 celebrating comebacks from Xikers, Ateez, P1harmony, and Stayc. We celebrated 10 years with BTS - having over 500 army come together over two days to help us celebrate. We also held our multigroup cupsleeve where we represented 15 different groups, our largest event yet. Along with 31 events - Colorado was lucky enough to have 12 kpop concerts in 2023! We welcomed P1Harmony, Dreamcatcher, Epik High, and Eric Nam back for their second visit to Colorado while we had first time performances from Pixy, TRI:BI, WEi, YongGuk, IKON, The Rose, Everglow, and Purple Kiss! As always, with every event we collected a lot of items for charity this year! We donated pet supplies to an Aurora animal shelter, Art supplies to a Art Center, Food to Food Bank of the Rockies, Toys to needy famlies at Christmas, and many more charities. All together over 2000 items were donated this year!
As we start 2024 we are looking forward to many more events and hopefully many more concerts!!! Keep an eye on the calender for all upcoming cupsleeves, dance events, concert announcments, and more! The Colorado Kpopper will present Walk Out of the Darkness once again in 2021 in support of the American Foundation for Suicide Awareness. The auction & charity gala evening will be located at 8200 Southpark Circle in Littleton, CO on Saturday, September 25th from 4pm to 8pm. The event will feature a live K-Pop auction featuring rare and special official & fan-made merchandise, light bites & snacks, and performances by local DJ Innaseoul.
Our community is proud to bring this auction event to the community in person this year, following a successful online version during the 2020 pandemic. Musical performances, random dancing, Korean food, and other entertainment features will be available this year, with free entry. The goal this year is to raise $1,000, matching last year's unprecedented success. “We’re hosting this event to continue to support the American Foundation for Suicide Awareness. Many of our community members have been affected by this issue, and it’s close to our heart.” Says Sage Sharkey, the Colorado Kpopper. “This will be our 4th year in a row with this event, and I look forward to continuing to see everyone again in person for this great cause.” Walk Out of the Darkness is hosted by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Community Walks, held in hundreds of cities across the country, are the core of the Out of the Darkness movement, which began in 2004. These events give people the courage to open up about their own connections to the cause, and a platform to create a culture that’s smarter about mental health. Friends, family members, neighbors, and coworkers walk side-by-side, supporting each other and in memory of those we’ve lost. Colorado Kpopper works to support small businesses and bring together K-Pop lovers across Colorado to build friendships and create everlasting memories across the state. Every event goes beyond the celebration, with proceeds going to a multitude of great causes and local non-profit organizations Hi there! This is my new website! I'm still working on it so bare with me please!
This website will become the new main hub for all events and products from me, the Colorado Kpopper! I host events based off of groups/idols I personally follow due to most events being funded out of my own pocket. However I am always open for suggestions so please feel free to contact me if you have any! After an event is over - any extra product I may have will be put up here as well! Other than events this site will also serve as a blog for me to document my concert and kpop experiences as well as any tips, reviews, or other fun stories I may have to share! I have attended over 10 kpop concerts and conventions and I have a lot to share! Thank you so much for stopping by and I look forward to seeing you again soon! |
