Okay, I know its been months since I last wrote a blog post and a LOT has happened since my last one in February. I debated if I should write a recap of everything I missed or just move on - however, I decided for myself I wanted to have a small recap of everything that happened so here we are. So buckle up, grab a soda and get ready to hear about all the fun events, concerts, and updates that happened from February (I know, so long ago) till now! February 12th KonnectPop and I partnered up to bring you our 5th annual Valentines Day party! For 5 years we have been celebrating the day of love with friends, food, music, and games with an old school valentines exchange. I have to admit, the Valentines party is one of my favorite event's we do because of how light hearted and fun it always is. Everyone always comes up with the most creative valentines and boxes and it is just always a good time all around. This years valentines party was celebrated with 30 of our amazing community members at Dance Scene Studios in Aurora. We had many familiar faces but also we were excited to see several new faces. We played dance charades, ate lots of sweets, and saw one of the BEST valentines boxes to date (see the amazing pirate ship above by @Claypop on instagram) A big thank you to everyone who came to make the day fun and full of friendship! I can't wait for next year. The next event up on our recap is our very special Honey and Sope day! February 26th, BananaJinTrades and I partnered once again to celebrate Jhope and Suga of BTS! We celebrated at the amazing Ju's coffee in Parker and for this event we decided to go Bee theme in honor of the two sweet boys. Personally this cupsleeve was one of my favorites that I have ever designed. With the colors and theme I just love how it turned out and looked. For those who know me they know that decorating is kind of my thing. So in true sage fashion we went all out in our decorations for this event. We had flowers and bees everywhere we could reach and a special backdrop to help everyone commemorate the day! Aside from the décor we also got a special Bundt cake to make it a true birthday party. And what a party it was! We ended up running out of sleeves and we had about 200 participants that came and saw us! Our biggest event to date! Like most of my events we collected donations for charity to make the celebration even more meaningful. For this event we were raising money for the Colorado State Beekeeper Association. We raised $815 to help save the bees!!! Thank you so much to everyone who helped us raise so much for such a good cause. We also held a raffle of a BTS ita bag, 1 Suga and 1 Jhope pin, and then special SOPE washi tape. A big congratulations to Karen L. for being our winner of this special prize! After honey and sope day we had two smaller cupsleeve events - the first being TXT's 3rd anniversary! March 5th, we celebrated with a color pop/skateboard theme - fitting with their recent music videos of Love Song and Lo$er Lover. We once again celebrated at Ju's coffee, and although this event was smaller than some of my others we still had a blast. Our freebies included a bias card as well as a fun postcard of all the members and one group PC. We also had a backdrop and cut outs of all 5 members for people to take photos with. One of the biggest hits of the celebration however had to be the small tech decks that were scattered about - it was so fun to see everyone excitedly playing with them. Lastly, we did't have a donation this time but we still held a raffle! Raffling off 1 album, 1 shaker Keychain, and 1 sticker. Big congratulations to Rico for winning the raffle prize! Two weeks after TXT Day, March 19th, we celebrated P!Harmony coming to Denver with a P1Harmony cupsleeve! unfortunately the concert got postponed but that wasn't going to stop a celebration. I partnered with @Paintedblossoms for this event, hosted at Snowl off of Havana. The amazing workers at Snowl came up with two special drinks for our event - the "Fairy Like This" which was a hibiscus tea and the "Peacemaker," a delicious Lychee Flavored Coconut milk. Like always we had a special photobooth area as well as a raffle - raffling off the P1Haromy lightstick for 1 lucky winner! On March 26th, we had yet another celebration cupsleeve! This time we were celebrating Stray kids 4th anniversary. I partnered with Chloe, Trista, and Sean to bring you this wonderful event. This was my second Stray Kid's event I hosted, the first being Han and Felix day last year - and I was blown away by the positive response. We had over 100 participants! Hosted at Snowl off of Havana, we went with a The View theme - having loved the pastel colors and flower feel. The staff at Snowl came up with a special menu - the signature Skz drink, the Nachimbong Milk tea and then a special event specific drink in honor of their latest song at the time - the Maniac Blast. Both drinks were delicous as always. For this event I wanted to go a bit bigger than normal considering how popular the group has become. With that I paid special attention to to our backdrop. Creating "door" out of foam to mimic the one in the View music video. We also had a very special vendor, Minty.Micki selling bracelets, prints, buttons and more! For this event we held a raffle of the new maniac album and a specially designed photocard shaker by my good friend Rocketcattcreats, A big thank you to everyone who came out and made the day that much more special! Finally moving into April events, Prim Rose and I partnered up to bring you our Vanner in Denver Cupsleeve! To celebrate Vanners 3rd time coming to Denver and 2nd concert in our city, we wanted to throw a cupsleeve to commemorate the occasion! This time we held the event at a brand new location! Colorado Tea Station downtown, only 11 minutes from Summit Music Hall. The new location is beautiful with a cherry blossom décor and we were so excited to use the space for a special event. Our theme for this event was Carnival, to go along with one of their performances of Rollin which was carnival theme. We had Pcs, and prints, but also each person got a cotton candy lollipop and all the goodie served together in a popcorn bag to fit the theme! April 3rd was the concert! Held at Summit Music Hall be Code1 Entertainment - it was a fantastic turn out as always. For those who may not know, Vanner was the first Kpop group to come to Denver. Brought here by lots of hard work and petitioning, it finally happened and they continue to visit us and put on amazing shows! I got the VIP package, meaning I got to experience the sound check, a 1 on 1 photo with the boys, a signed album (plus other merch) and the hello wave. Seeing the guys is always a good time and this will actually be my second photo with them - and in both Gon has always made a goofy face. For this concert I created special memorabilia tickets to pass out as freebies to everyone. I was also one of the leads on the special smiley face project that would be held up during their song "Better Do Better" do hopefully bring a smile to the boys face's. All in all the concert was fantastic as usual. One of the special stages they gave us was Taehwan performing Love Song by TXT - and for those who know me Love Song is my FAVORITE TXT song and Taehwan is my Vanner bias wrecker so it was such a treat to hear him perform it. His voice also fit the song beautifully. Hyesung and Ahxian also performed Permission to Dance for as as well as Ahcian, Gon, and Yungkwang performed a high power song (Im sorry I dont know the name ;A;) that left us all jumping. At the end of the concert, Code1 had 1 on 1 poloroids for sale and of course I had to get one with each boy (and had to make up for loosing my Hyesung ticket last time). The concert was just so much fun and I can not wait to see Vanner back in Denver yet again! A day after Vanner, April 4th, we had our reschedule of the Epik High concert! I have been listening to Epik High for years - having been one of the first groups I was introduced to on my Kpop journey. Although they are not a typical concert I would attend I was so excited to hear some of my favorite songs from them like "Dont Hate Me" and "Born Hater." I can happily say they did not disappoint! I also had the honor of being able to design a special hand banner for this concert, commissioned by the lovely Aida. It unfortunately had the original date from before the reschedule, however it was still a fun thing to have anyway and I really enjoyed designing it. Next up in our recap was our Buy, Sell, trade day! BananaJinTrades and I partnered once again to bring you a day of buying, selling, and trading official and fanmade kpop goods. Held at Riize coffee we had over 30 sellers signed up - 10 of them being creators in our Makers Market bringing you all the missing pieces you need for your collection. I saw many older kpop albums, Japanese tour merch, smaller group merch, and of course, lots and lots of photocards! I myself had a table but I think I spent all my earning that same day! Thank you so much to all the sellers and buyers that came to our event and made it even bigger than the last one! May 13th we finally got our rescheduled P1Harmony concert! I admittedly don't know many P1Harmony songs but I had an amazing time at the concert! I passed out memorabilia tickets once again and then had a blast at the show. They were so high energy and fun it was just like a giant party! It was lovely to see so many out of state fans getting to experience our venues for the first time! One thing I did want to say that I observed was there were many people running out of their seats and crowding the middle isle to get closer to the guys. I know we all want to be close and see them but please please don't do this! This is so unsafe and also not fair to the people who bought the seats in front of you. All in all it was a great time and I truly hope that P1Harmony decides to come see us again! The last event that I will cover in this long recap will be Seventeen Day! Seventeen Day didn't happen that long ago, only taking place on May 28th. I partnered with Trista and Chloe again and we were so excited to host this event at SNowl #2! Snowls new location off parker road and it was AMAZING! The new location is much larger and has large TVs for our Kpop MV Viewing pleasure! I learned at my last years Seventeen event that we have LOTS of carats here in Colorado and they did not disappoint. This year we had over 100 participants and many new faces! We went with the Darling theme - meaning lots of flowers and light colors all around. I made special scrabble pieces to spell out Seventeen for the backdrop and Chloe and Trista were lovely enough to lend their albums for us to display. Snowl created a special drink for our event - the Darling You-gurt Tea and it was fabulous. We also had three vendors for this event, back for a second year we had Ripanagaby, and we also welcomed the fabulous Simplecreations and CherrybeanCo to our event. It was such a wonderful time and I enjoyed seeing the looks of happiness on everyones face as we watched Hot on the big screen. Thank you to everyone who has come and supported any of these events and concerts! Also a big thank you for anyone who stuck with me through this long blog. I will do my best to get better at updating in a more timely manner. Please keep a look out in the next day or two for my BTS in Vegas blog!
Hope to see you all at upcoming events, be sure to check out the calendar to see what's happening.

On December 18th, @BananaJinTrades and I joined together once again to celebrate Kim Seokjin and Kim Taehyung with out Kim Birthday Gala Cupsleeve! I had wanted to host a red carpet theme cupsleeve last year, but unfortunately due to Covid-19 that idea had to be put on hold. However, I was so excited to be able to make it reality this year with the Kim Birthday Gala cupsleeve! We broke out our fanciest decorations and dresses to bring a gala feel to the wonderful Ju's Coffee. Roses adorned every table and we had gold accents thrown thrown about. One of my favorite parts of these events is the photo area and we made sure to decorate it just as fancy as the rest of the décor with a gold hoop and red roses to match. As an added fun we took Ju's Christmas tree and decorated it with Jin and Tae photos. It was so fun to see everyone's excitement as they waited in line and saw the photos. An added fun for this event was that we - the hosts dressed up in our nicest dresses to really bring out the Gala theme. We were also pleasantly surprised to have a few guests join us in their nicest outfits! For this event we did donations a little differently and were collecting new toys to donate to the Action Center in Lakewood to help families in need this holiday season. We were also still collecting money and along with 61 toys we also donated $265! As our thank you for donating - each donor got a special event wristband and rose, as well as a chance to enter our raffle. For this raffle prize we were offering a full set of the BTS Dynamite Funko pops! Big congratulations to Cheyenne for winning! I want to thank everyone who came to support @BananaJinTrades and I for our last event of 2021! We had a blast and had an absolutely amazing turn out to celebrate Jin and Tae! I can't wait to continue hosting events in 2022 and meeting all of you again!
Make sure you are checking out the calendar to see what's coming up next! See you next time! On October 16th @Bananajintrades and I held my 3rd ever Jimin day! For those who have been with me from the start, you would know that Jimin day in 2019 was my very first ever cupsleeve event - so this day is very special to me. Not only that but Jimin is my bias so I obviously had to go all out! Hosted at Ju's coffee once again we decked out the place in decor, filled it with music and laughter, and had a blast meeting new and seeing old friends! We broke out all the Jimin and Chimmy items we own to decorate the space. Along with fun orange, black, and purple balloons and handcuffs to go along with out locked up theme. Someone took the theme of "Locked up with Jimin" a little too literally and got stuck in the handcuffs (we love you Ivy!) but it provided a great laugh for a great day. As always we were collecting donations for a charity - this time we were collecting for Urban Peak, an organization that helps teenage homelessness. As a thank you for donating, participants received a special postcard, wristband, and raffle ticket for the opportunity to win our special Jimin/Chimmy theme raffle prize! Thank you to everyone who donated. Together we were able to raise $400 to donate and a big congratulations to winner was Michelle S. for winning the raffle prize! Like with all of my events we also had a fun backdrop to take photos with as long as an appearance of a Jimin cut out! After great feedback from Namkook day we also brought back a fun celebratory cake!! I am still not a cake decorator but I think I did pretty good!!
Thank you once again to everyone who came and celebrated with us as well as supported us! We'll see you at the next event! Make sure to check the calendar to see which event that is! Calling all superheros! On October 2nd, KonnectPop, MorganVcameron, and I came together to celebrate 2 years with the super group SuperM! With an Avengers theme and good company we had an amazing time celebrating. Snowl was fantastic to once again host us in our celebrating. The good ice cream and boba only elevating the fun. The great staff at Snowl prepared us 2 special drinks: The Tiger Blast (milk tea frappe with brown sugar drizzle) and The Super M-ango Milk Tea (mango flavor milk tea)! Both drinks were delicious though I have to say the Tiger Blast was definitely my favorite. Along with the themed drinks we decorated the space in SuperM and Avenger décor. Our backdrop consisting of a city scape with all the fun sound bubbles from the comics. This back drop - and theme in general - has been one of my favorites to work with and I had so much fun setting everything up. The sleeves this time were in the traditional airholder style, and although the design gave me a hard time to start, it also turned out to be one of my favorites. With the purchase of a drink you got 1 double-sided PC of your favorite SuperM boy(s). An extra feature we added to the event this time was a fun gotchapon game! For $1 - which was donated to The Gathering Place - you'd reach into our super bag and pull out a special prize! The prizes included temporary tattoos and circle cards to special keychains with plains, cars, microphones, and cowboy hats (thanks Taemin)! In select capsules you could even receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a Super One album set! If you were really lucky you could even win the tiger keychain with TWO raffle tickets! It was a super fun addition to the event and I can't wait to bring it back for another event in the future. To wrap up I want to say a big thank you to everyone who attended and helped us celebrate. Thanks to you all we raised $100 for The Gathering Place to help Women and Children in need. I also wanted to give a big congratulations to Janey B. for winning the Super One album set!
Lastly, but certainly not least, I want to give a big shout out to KonnectPop and @MorganVcameron (on Instagram) for collaberating with me on this celebration. I had a blast planning and throwing the event. I also want to give a big shout out to Katy and Faye for lending there merch for display! It means so much to have amazing supportive friends helping me with these events and I couldn't do it without them. Thank you once again to everyone who came to celebrate with us and I can't wait to see you at the next event. Be sure to check out the calendar to see what's coming up next! Saturday September 18th was Han and Felix Day! Held at Snowl in Aurora!. This was our second event at Snowl (our first being Red Lee Day) and we had just as much fun as the first! There was no real theme but we decorated the space with blue and white! A special table with Stray Kids albums was set out for viewing along with official Han and Felix PCs, and of course we had our signature backdrop stand completed with Han and Felix themselves! We also had special quokka and bbokari confetti on all the tables for everyone to enjoy!!! To add to the fun, Snowl provided special drinks in honor of the special day. There were 2 drinks - the No Easy Yogurt Blast which featured three fruits and yogurt and the Nachimbong Milk with fresh strawberries and milk. I tried both and they were delicious (though the Nachimbong Milk was definitely my favorite). Snowl was also kind enough to provide mochi in honor of Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving) for the first 25 attendees of our event! I completely underestimated the amount of Stays that would come and celebrate with us so we ended up running out 2 hours in!!! However, everyone was so kind and understanding. I want to give a big congratulations to Cerise R. for being the winner of the Han and Felix No Easy jewel case raffle!
I appreciate everyone who came to celebrate with me once again - I couldn't do this without everyone.s love and support. I hope to see you all at the next event! Make sure to check out the calendar to see all upcoming events and as always if you wish to donate to help me keep hosting these events you can donate to [email protected] on Paypal. See you all next time! On September 11th I had the pleasure of partnering with BananaJinTrades yet again to being you Namkook Day! We celebrated Jeon Jungkook and Kim Namjoon of BTS' with cupsleeves, photobooths, cake, and more! Ju's Coffee in Parker was our amazing location once again. I love working with Ju's - their staff is always friendly and kind each time! The event started at 9am and although we were running a little late with set up I am super happy with how our Permission To Dance theme turned out! Our decore Orange and black with bubble accents to play off the car wash promotion photos. To add to the celebration and for the first time at my events we ended up getting a cake! Although it wasn't the most perfect I did my best in decorating and I think it looked pretty cute! Like all my events we were collecting donations for a charity and a chance to enter our special raffle. The raffle this time was for a Butter album set with all inclusions and two keychains, won by Rachel L! For the donations, we were able to to raise $200 dollars to be donated to One Tree Planted - this means 200 trees will be planted in Jungkook and Namjoon's names!
Thank you once again to everyone who came out to support our event. We couldn't do it without you! To help me continue to host these events and make them bigger and better please consider donating to [email protected] on paypal. Any little bit helps and all money donated goes back to events! I hope to see you all at the next event! Be sure to check out the calendar tab to see what's happening next! Saturday August 21st BananaJinTrades and I hosted Kpop Buy/Sell/Trade Day! We had an amazing turn out - with 30 sellers! This event was actually my second buy/sell/trade day - with the first being in 2019 - but this event blew the first one completely out of the water! With 30 sellers we had a large range of items from albums, pcs, and other official merch to amazing fan merch like pins, drawings, ceramics, and special kpop candles!!! I saw many amazing items to help complete collections, start collections, or even be that special unique item just to have. I want to say a big thank you to all the sellers that participated and helped make this event a success. Listed a below is a list of sellers (if I know their selling @ it will be listed!) I appreciate you all and I can't wait to see you at the next event! On July 31st ColoradoKpopper and KonnectPop hosted Red Lee Day! A Mark Lee and Red Velvet celebration! Just a day apart we decided to celebrated the 6 talented people together on their big days! Mark's 22nd birthday and Red Velvets 7 year anniversary. We had the pleasure of hosting Red Lee Day at Snowl! A wonderful Boba shop in Aurora. Following our sweet and spicy theme we decorated the space with fruits and peppers, the cafe popping with color. Our photobooth section was complete with a watermelon backdrop, an appearance by SuperM mark Lee, and of course - a inflatable siracha bottle! For this event we were raising money for the Superhero Heart Run - an organization for Congenital Heart Disease. Together we were able to raise $200 for this amazing charity. As incentive for donation we had 2 raffle prizes, a Red Velvet pack of an album, stickers, and a Red Velvet SM Bear pin won by Emily N. and a Mark Lee pack of an album and 2 SM Bear pins (NCT and SuperM) won by Joycelin G! Lastly, I would love to give a huge shout out to Katy! One of my best friends for bringing her Red Velvet and Mark Lee collection to display for everyone to see. She had some great items from magazines to pcs to show off and allow us all to look through. I always love seeing other peoples collections and I hope you all enjoyed seeing hers! Next, on August 7th, we were back at the fantastic Ju's Coffee for BlackPink's 5th Anniversary! I had partnered with KSA - UCCS' Korean Student Org. to bring you all this event and I loved it. We really took the blackpink into our theme - decorating the cafe with beautiful art posters, balloons, streamers, and pearls! For this event we once again were raising money for the Golden Lotus Foundation - and thanks to everyone generous hearts we raised $100 to donate! The raffle prize for this event was an offical Blackpink Lightstick Vr. 2, lovesick girls art print, and Blackpink member buttons - a big congratulations to Jason K. for winning this raffle! Thank you so much to anyone who attended either (or both!) of these events! I always love seeing and meeting you all and I can't wait to see you again! Make sure to check out the calendar to view all upcoming events!
I'm very late at posting this but better late then never! We have a lot to cover in this post - 3 events! - so buckle up and settle in! BTS Day was June 12th at Riize Coffee in Littleton and we had an AMAZING turn out! This was my second festa celebration for BTS - the first being the 7 year last year - and I'm so glad we were able to have a proper celebration this year! Our BTS Festa event was the biggest cupsleeve I have held to date with special drinks, vendors, 2 giveaways, and several special photo opportunities! The wonderful staff at Riize Coffee Co. created four special drinks for our event: The BORAHAE Soda (My personal favorite) a blackberry and vanilla sparkling water, the Dark and Wild Americano for espresso and hazelnut lovers, the Dynamite Cookie for those who enjoy a sweeter coffee and the taste of an oatmeal cookie, and lastly the Persona Lemonade a tart peach lemonade. Aside from the special drinks we also had four wonderful vendors selling special BTS (and general Kpop) goodies! There were totes, journals, keychains, pins, soaps, and jewelry! Along with all of that we had several fun photo spots and decorations scattered about. It's always one of my favorite things to watch everyone take photos with the props and just have a general good time - if you would like to see some of these photos check out the past event gallery under calendar. Like with most of my events we were also collecting donations to raise funds for The Golden Lotus Foundation once again - a local non profit in Colorado Springs working on the education and celebration of Asian heritage - and we were able to raise $700 to donate to this wonderful charity! The next event I would like to highlight in this blog post will be KBand Day held June 26th at Riize Coffee Co! I was happy to partner with KonnectPop once again to bring this exciting event. I am admittedly not that well versed in many Kbands, however, we had an amazing time with a variety of goodies such as postcards, PCs, special guitar picks and more all representing a wide variety of groups! There was also a photobooth with inflatable instruments and we played two extremely fun games - 1: Guess that instrument by the sound and 2: Name songs based on popular words (proud to say my team one this one!) Lastly we also paired this event with a donation to charity - although the charity is TBD we are happy to announce we have raised $301! I will announce which charity we donate to once we have decided! The last event I would like to highlight in this post was my most recent event for Taeyong of NCT. This event was hosted July 3rd at Ju's Coffee and I'm so happy to be back at the little cafe. Aside from missing Ju herself I missed the delicious boba she served. Taeyong day was a perfect introduction back to the cafe and inspired by TY himself we decorated the space with a red roses theme. Not only were there roses on the cupsleeve's and scattered around the entire cafe but each guest got their own rose with a special Taeyong Day PC! This was definitely one of my most favorite themes I ever worked with with just how pretty everything turned out. Big shout out to Katy for providing the beautiful official prints for display and a big thank you to Debrah for providing the giveaway items for our raffle! I want to say a big thank you to everyone who attended any of these events and continues to attend and support me. If it wasn't for you guys I wouldn't be able to continue to do something I absolutly love doing.
I look forward to seeing you at my next events! Make sure to check out the calendar tab to see everything that's coming up! May 29th was our 6 Years with Seventeen Celebrations! Seventeen has been one of my most requested events since I had started cupsleeves and I'm so happy to have been able to finally host one! The event was held at Riize Coffee Co. in Littleton, the same place as BamBam day. Just like BamBam day Chrissy, the owner, hooked us up with some delicious drinks. Team Rocket (a butterscotch latte) and the Oh My! Berry Blast! (a strawberry lemonade). Aside from the delicious drinks there was a special photo area, music videos , freebies, cupsleeves, and as a special treat we had our very first vendor the amazing Rippanagaby!! For this event I went pastel colors with diamonds scattered about - really trying to slip into that diamond life - and I think it worked! The event was so fun and special we even ran out of supplies!! Just like BamBam day we chose to support of our local AAPI community and collect donations for an Asian Non-Profit in Colorado Springs: The Golden Lotus Foundation. This organization strives to "celebrate tradition and inspire passion for Asian heritage through community resources, education programs, and expand support for culture projects" as well as is working to build more community spaces for the AAPI community in Colorado Springs. Thanks to everyone's generosity we were able to raise $220 to donate!
To help encourage donations we were offering a special raffle basket with the Going Seventeen magazine, a adorable mask and charm donated by Rippanagaby, and a $25 gift card from Angelo's CDs and More! A big Congratulations to Sadie S. for winning this prize!!! Thank you so much to everyone who came and supported me and my events once again! I couldn't continue to do this without you all! See you all at the next one! |
